Certifications

Each rank unlocks a new certification that officers will be able to receive after a set amount of training towards that certification. Once an officer shows a full understanding of a certification, they may apply to become a certified trainer towards that certification, or they may apply to become a tester.

First Aid: First Aid certification is a 2 part certification that requires an Official EMS trainer to certify the officer to handle situations that would require an EMS worker when they are unavailable. Having this certification allows officers to assist EMS when they require it and gives you the temp title of Probationary PCT in order to help them with calls should they need it. Having this certification does not mean that you are allowed to help citizens up when EMS is in the city. You will be allowed to administer enough help to keep the citizen alive until EMS arrives.

K9: Currently do not have a K9 unit available to general officers. This will be coming in the future once we can hire an official dog trainer to train our dogs to sniff drugs.

Swat: Swat is considered our Elite force. These officers will be allowed to carry our highest powered guns, as well as receive a K9 unit to be able to attack during breeches. Officers who go for this certification will have to show excellence in shooting, driving, and pursuits. There will be 4 parts to this certification test. Officers will only be allowed to take this test once a month.

Pursuit Certification: Pursuit vehicles are to only be taken out by officers who have been certified by an Official Pursuit Trainer. This certification is done in 2 parts. The first will be a time trial where you will be required to complete a set track within a set time limit. The second part will require you to chase your instructor through a series of streets. You will have 3 chances to keep sight for a specific time before the test is considered a fail. You will only be allowed to take this test 2 times a month. You should only pull out a Pursuit Vehicle if there are at least 2 non-special vehicles on patrol. There should only be 1 Pursuit vehicle on a scene. There should not be more than 3 Pursuit Units out at a time.

Pursuit Vehicles: Camaro, Mustang, Challenger

Bike Certification: Bikes are only to be used by those who have been certified by an official Bike Certification Trainer. There should only be 1 bike at a scene. Bikes are not to be used for Patrol. Only use it on a scene if there is already a car. If there is no vehicle on scene, leave the scene and return with a car. Bikes are to be used as visual pursuits. You should never attempt to pit using a bike, and should always back off if the suspect attempts to throw you off the bike. There should never be more than 2 bikes out at a time to a scene.

Bike Vehicles: Harley Bike (City Patrol), Sport Bike (Highway Patrol), Dirt Bike (Mountain Patrol)

Heat Certification: Heat vehicles are only to be used by officers who have been certified by an Official Heat Trainer. This certification is done in 2 parts. The first will be a time trial where you will be required to complete a set track within a set time limit. The second part will require you to chase your instructor through a series of streets. You will have 2 chances to keep sight for a specific time before the test is considered a fail. You will only be allowed to take this test 1 time a month. Heat units are only to be used in situations where it is needed. You may only patrol in these vehicles where there are 5+ non-special vehicles already out on patrol. An Exception to this is Captain+. There should not be more than 2 Heat Units out at a time.

Heat Vehicles: Corvette, Porsche GT4RS

Raven1 Certification: Raven1 is our Sky Unit. There should only ever be 1 Sky Unit to a scene unless specified by a higher up (Captain+). There should never be more than 2 Sky Units out at a time.

Raven1 is only to be brought out by officers who have been certified by an Official Raven1 Trainer. There are 2 different certifications for Raven1. Both will require a test and a training class before receiving the certifications. The first part of the certification is the passenger certification. In order to receive this certification, you are required to be able to show that you have the knowledge and ability to keep communication with the ground units without the use of the cameras and the pilot. The second part of this certification requires the first part of the certification plus around 10 hours as a co-pilot in Raven1. You are required to show an in-depth knowledge of piloting the Raven1 unit and keep communication with the ground units at the same time. Raven1 is never to land unless in cases of a refuel or a pick up. They are never to land during an active scene. Raven1 is a visual only pursuit vehicle. Its main priority is to keep up coms if the ground units lose track of the suspect on the ground. Raven1 does not count as a ground unit at scenes. Raven1 is allowed to be pulled out as a patrol vehicle if there are at least 3 ground units (this will be changed as we grow as a department).

Raven1 Units: Maverick (Camera Unit)
