Vehicle Policy

Purpose:

Providing information and informing all officers of the procedures for Vehicle Pursuits.

Department Impact:

There are 2 main types of vehicles that we use. Ground Units and Sky Units. Some vehicles are used specifically for pursuit and keeping eyes on suspects during chases.

Vehicles:

Officers are allowed to buy vehicles according to their rank. To buy these, they are to talk to a Lt. or above to receive these. Some Vehicles are set behind certifications. Once an officer has passed a certification, they can purchase vehicles that are set behind certifications. All department cars are to be fully upgraded before going out on patrol. Officers are required to have a livery set according to their department. The only time you should be driving around an unmarked car is if you have permission from a higher up (Captain +) and are doing undercover work.
