Serving Our Fellow Officers
We are committed to providing and operating in a supportive environment, where officers always have the opportunity to provide their best work and opinion. Officers are expected to do their best to create a supportive environment around them that is free of harassment, intimidation, bias or discrimination.
FullSend PD prohibits all officers from any verbal, textual, or visual bullying, harassment, or discrimination. If you believe you’ve been bullied or harassed by another officer, report it immediately to a higher up.
FullSend PD will do their best to coordinate and work together on projects or issues in the community that best fit their personal skill sets. When the project or issue at hand is something you cannot help with, respect those working on it and be mindful of their needs. Remember, every officer in FullSend PD is dedicating their time to keeping the city safe.
Conflicts of Interest
FullSend PD Officers should be mindful of situations that could cause you to pursue a personal benefit for yourself or your friends. This is a conflict of interest. All PD officers should avoid conflict of interests that reasonably present the appearance of a conflict.
Avoid participating in management or decision-making regarding potential or existing relationships you may have formed during your tenure. To be clear, just because a friend or close friend is involved in a decision you may need to make, does not mean there is a conflict of interest. However, if you are also involved in a situation which includes both yourself and your friend, it can be extremely sensitive. The right thing to do is to recuse yourself from the situation or seek guidance from your Chain of Command.
Romantic relationships between anyone in FullSend PD can, depending on your role and respective positions, present an actual conflict of interest. If a romantic relationship does create a conflict, it may require changes be made or even role changes to either or both individuals.
In Good Faith
Officers in FULLSEND have an obligation to act in good faith when it comes to issues, or topics that are brought up. This includes all current members, and the person in question in any situation. We as PD must be the stoics, for it is us that others look to for guidance. This means that we must temper ourselves for acting rashly, even when we have cause and reason to. Not to remove emotions or the like from our reasons, but to avoid others feeling that they are being pressured, or overpowered. It also means we act in compliance to the best of our abilities with our rules, policies, guidelines, but act in line with the spirit of them as well. We do what is morally and ethically correct not just for ourselves, but for others. Then we change to reflect that. When we make a decision on an issue, or spur action in another to act to do so, we must take into account what is allowed, and what is right. That we must act in good faith, and in the spirit of, over what we are permitted by the letter of what is written. To force us to ask the question; I can, but should I?
This drive to do what is right does permit issues that come up, may go against the rule; policies that are written, or the unwritten rules. A few things to keep in mind:
Anyone who makes the call to make a choice based on moral and/or ethical reasons (invoking in good faith) may NOT have any action taken against them.
The use of the in good faith will be reviewed by PD Command, viewable to all higher ups. If it is believed it is needed, by majority it may be pushed down to all PD to comment.
This is meant to fulfill two obligations:
As a learning experience for all officers
To ensure that the clause is being used properly
In either case of a pushdown or turnover a majority vote is needed
To help in difficult situations, where one or a group is in a situation that is ambiguous. So that after the review policies may be rewritten so they can better reflect what we wish to accomplish.
While this clause may be used in the moment by an individual or a group, you should whenever possible to get more views/opinions on the issue regardless of position within the community. It is always better to not make a decision in a vacuum. This is in no way a means to avoid making decisions with the group you’re supposed to be making them with.
There may be in rare extreme circumstances, that decisions may need to be made on a time sensitive matter. In these cases direct temporary action is needed to control the situation. A temporary action is permitted to quarantine the person or issue until the matter can be properly looked at.
The honor system applies, for all to hold themselves accountable.
Any action to abuse this clause, to subvert, sidestep or the like is considered a violation of this clause.
Administrative Monitoring Policy
This document outlines the use of the Administrative Monitoring ability that is available to all Junior Admin and above.
Administrative Monitoring is meant to be a tool used by administrators to monitor members or staff that have shown recent behavior or in-game issues in order to better gauge how they are role playing and acting within the game. In order to monitor someone, there must be a prior reason or reasonable suspicion of wrong-doing in order to do so. Abuse of this will result in it being taken away as a usable tool.
Evidence To Support Claim
You should record if you wish to have video evidence to support a claim.
You may approach players for an out-of-character conversation, but must make it very clear to them that's what it is when you do so.
In character - when recording, you must mention that “you are being recorded for safety purposes and training.”
Should you want other admins to be included in the conversation, this can be down out of character prior to the scene.
If within a scene, you notice some particular breaks to standard game practice (this includes custom or hacked weapons/cars etc) Please use /OOC to request admin assistance once the scene is clear.
Please also include relevant recordings (where required)
Please do not mention the incident/concern in ./OOC. Just mention that Admin assistance is required. (For Eg: /ooc Admin assistance required CODE 10.1 or CODE 10.420)
If You Are Being Monitored
Roleplay as normal. You shouldn't even be aware that it's happening.
If you are approached for an out-of-character interaction, it is valid, and you will treat it as such.
If you have any complaints related to the scene in question, please contact our support section within the FULLSEND discord.
